Welcome to DMV Test Free

DMV Test Free is a completely free online resource designed to help you prepare for your state's official DMV written-knowledge test. We believe quality test preparation should be accessible to everyone, regardless of background or financial situation.

What we do

We provide practice quizzes for DMV written tests in select U.S. states: California, Texas, Florida, New York, and Georgia. Our quizzes are designed to simulate the official DMV test experience and help you identify areas where you need to study more before taking the real test.

Our mission

Our mission is to provide high-quality, free DMV test preparation, create original handbook-based content that accurately reflects what you'll see on the official test, design an excellent user experience (fast, intuitive, mobile-friendly), and help you pass your DMV test with confidence.

We do not charge for access to our quizzes. We support the site through Google AdSense advertising.

How our content is made

Every question on DMV Test Free is original and carefully researched using each state's official driver handbook. We do not copy questions from any other test-prep service. Instead, we study the official materials and create new questions that cover the same knowledge areas and test format.

Our content is reviewed for accuracy and alignment with current state requirements. However, because driver handbooks and test formats can change, we recommend verifying current information with your official state DMV before your test.

Not a government website

It is important that you understand: DMV Test Free is NOT a government website. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any state Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or any government agency.

We are an independent educational resource created to help you study. All information is provided for educational purposes only and is not official government guidance. Before scheduling your DMV test or relying on specific legal or procedural information, always verify directly with your official state DMV website.
